Meet Janie
Welcome!
I am deeply passionate about healing and social justice. As the granddaughter of an Armenian refugee who was a concentration camp survivor during WW2, I was inspired by the stories of resilience within my own family. In 2010 I lived in Thailand volunteering with an anti-trafficking oranization empowering women to leave a life of exploitation. It was there that this California native met her husband, a Kansas creative. Together in 2017 we founded a US non-profit, Shelter and Rain, Inc., dedicated to seeing survivors of human trafficking and exploitation set free and restored.
As a certified Christian Trauma Care Provider, Human Trafficking Advocate, and Certified Massage Practitioner, I want you to know that you were meant to not just survive but thrive.
